2026 Outlook & Resource Needs
POULTRY
In 2026, we want to invest in our farm and increase our poultry to 2,000 birds to supply both chicken and eggs and increase the daily protein consumption of our children and our local community where whatever our children do not eat is sold which will also supplement our income. – 50 millions.
These farms would also educate our children on the importance of Agriculture in food production and impart knowledge of farming in them even at a young age.
ARTS & CRAFTS CENTRE
We also want to invest in the extra curricular activities of our children especially, the physically and mentally challenged ones who are very talented but need a platform like this to both discover and develop their abilities. By building an Art and Craft Centre, they can learn music, drawing and playing of different musical instruments. Under this program, they would also learn crafts like bag making, shoe making, tailoring/fashion designing, and other vocations through which they can earn some income and be self reliant outside of the white collar job industry. – 100million naira
SOLAR PANELS
We need solar panels to power the Home when there is no electrical power supply. We live in the outskirts of Idofian and our environment exposes us to crawling animals and insects especially in the evenings which can become dangerous if there’s no power to guide movement as one can easily step on crawling animals or even get hurt by hitting a wall, stepping on stones, etc.
We need electricity to power our refrigerators and deep freezers and keep foods edible. Without it, we can’t keep tomatoes, fish, meat, pap and other perishables fresh and in good condition.
We need electricity to pump water into the overhead tanks that supply water to our different houses, kitchens, farms, babies section, dining hall, and the entire Home.
We need about 70 million naira for the solar panels and installations.
Food
As the children grow they consume more food.
Accommodation
As they grow they need more space.
The kids approaching teenage years will have to be separated into different houses.
Money
Caregivers and staff salaries, electricity bills, hospital bills, purchase of toiletries, diapers, cream etc need cash.
The girls among them now maturing into teenage years need their own kind of maintenance.
School fees have to be paid, they run into hundreds of thousands every term, apart from text books and stationery. Money is needed daily.
Clothing
As they grow, their garments keep changing in sizes. Even though younger ones pick some of the cloths bigger ones outgrew, the bigger ones themselves need to pick new dresses.
Health Care
Most of them arrive sick because of infections picked in the place of their abandonment.
Automobile (Bus) or Cars
Because they live in the same place perpetually, a bus or Space Wagon vehicles are needed to take them out to see the outside world, go for excursions, visit airport, factories etc.
